Ed Piskor is a cartoonist best known for merging underground comix aesthetics with deep historical research. A Pittsburgh native, he gained prominence with Hip Hop Family Tree, a celebrated graphic chronicle of hip-hop’s origins, and went on to redefine superhero storytelling with X-Men: Grand Design.
