Bob Richel, who passed away on 16 March 2000, left the Museum of Witchcraft a remarkable legacy. A quiet man with a broad smile, Richel lived alone in Amsterdam and had inherited a trove of occult artifacts and illustrations from his father-in-law, Mr. Eldermans. Over time, he expanded the collection, sometimes gifting items to fellow occultists. Sadly, much of the Eldermans archive was lost and its index burned. Eldermans was reportedly a Magister of the AA, a secret magical order in The Hague and Leiden. It is believed both he and Richel were involved with the MM, a group still cloaked in mystery. The Museum continues to research this unique collection.

A rare glimpse into the Richel-Eldermans Collection, The Occult Reliquary unveils an extraordinary archive of magical images and artifacts housed in the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic in Cornwall. This collection, linked to 20th-century European occultism, includes ritual diagrams, sigils, and esoteric manuscripts tied to secretive groups like the M∴M∴ Order and practitioners of sex magic. With over 275 illustrations, the book explores the symbolism, ceremonial practices, and hidden traditions of Western esotericism. Essential for scholars of witchcraft, Freemasonry, and ritual magic, it offers a visually rich exploration of occult history and artistic expression.
